FAQ

Can I book your entire lodge grounds as a private function?

Absolutely. Our main lodge consists of 2 main buildings and can sleep up to 15 singles (any 2 single beds can create a king bed). Our guesthouse is approximately a 30 second walk away from our main grounds and can sleep up to 10-12 guests (2 queen beds and 8 single beds). Chef services and adventure options can be customized to meet your groups needs.

What should I bring?

  • We have a variety of raingear to offer between the sizes of men’s medium to XL, as well as rain boots from Men’s size 9 to 12 at a first come first serve basis. If you are a XXL or larger, we recommend you bring your own rain gear.
  • Personal toiletries. Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are always a good idea.
  • Warm clothing is highly recommended, even though summer sun can be warm, the weather can change, and you may require warm clothing.
  • For marine safaris or fishing charters, motion sickness prevention medicine is a good idea to have on hand. Although most people are not affected by sea conditions, it is not worth the chance of it ruining your fishing trip. Purchase “the patch” also known as Transderm V or Dramamine, Bonamine is also good. Gravol works but is not as effective.

When purchasing my BC Pacific Tidal Water Licence, do I need a salmon tag?

Yes, if you plan on taking some salmon home, then a salmon tag is required. Follow the prompts when buying your licence.

Where do I buy a fishing licence?

Whether you are from Canada or outside of Canada, all saltwater fishing activities requires everyone to hold a BC Pacific Tidal Waters Sport Fishing Licence including children under 16 years old (although kids need a licence, there is no fee). Online fishing licences are available at Fisheries and Oceans Canada:

Regarding your meal add on, what kind of meals will I be eating?

Every meal is different. You are sure to dine on a selection of fresh local fare: oysters, prawns, salmon, halibut, and cod. Along with traditional hearty cuisine from field and garden. Non-alcoholic beverages are provided. Breakfast consists of Day 2 offering a selection of fresh baked pastries, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels, and smoked salmon, while day 1 & 3 will have either a hot breakfast sandwich or wrap available along with the selection of continental. Lunches are boxed and taken on the boat with you for the day. While we have a semi-fixed menu, with notice, it is easy for us to modify to suit the needs of the groups on board.
